Dark Reign

Friends and Allies of Albion,
The Homelands of my Lord King Benegar are plagued with discord. I have been tasked by him to investigate the troubles that dog the rebuilding of our mighty temple in Avalon, and to act accordingly. The environs of the temple are under the care and jurisdiction of King Benegar, and as such he wishes the matter dealt with swiftly and righteously. What I ask of you my kith and kinsfolk is to travel to Caerleon with me and unveil the mysteries that lie deep in this land so changed since his time on the throne there. Bring sharpened blade and sharper wits with you as I fear an ill portent of grave danger.

High Templar Garwin

It has been many turns of the seasons since the abominations have walked my lands. The people of the Isles des Pommes speak of dark shadows stalking the night. Children snatched from their cots and found drained of blood. Shrieks that will stop a mans heartbeat in an instant. This must be stopped. To peoples of all nations, I ask for your warriors and wisest to help put an end to this. Food and shelter will be provided to all who answer this clarion call.

Hart

A chill breeze disturbed the fallen leaves in the glade revealing barely a hint soot blackened steel. The two figures clad in dark browns lay next to each other indistinguishable to the untrained eye from the woodland debris they concealed themselves in.

“You reckon these abominations are connected ter the disappearances then”, whispered the first
“Aye, no doubt about it, what worries me though is they ain’t got the nouse ter lay down them traps we found t’other night”
“Good point. Though whatever as animated these things and is controlling ‘em could surely have done that”

The two fell silent again as one of the Constructs plodded past. The first figure tracked it’s path and counted under his breath to two hundred and forty before speaking again.

“Aye but those demons are big buggers, they couldn’t fit in the warrens we’ve come across”

As if on cue a tall red skinned creature with fire in the palm of its hand began commanding the constructs without uttering a single word. The soulless animae began moving rocks from what was once an entrance to some sort of tunnel system. Not one flicker of emotion showed on the face of their master and the two onlookers kept their vigil…

More than a year has passed since King Benegar was stewardship over his old lands upon the Isles des Pommes. The foundation stones of the previous temple to Solkar still stand firm and work has begun to restore the Chantry to it’s former glory. Yet the fireside whispers in the local taverns speak of ill omens surrounding the ruins. For years these lands have been free of the unliving, but with the noises heard after nightfall and the mysterious disappearances rising, can this be still be the case?

Will Albion and its allies rally to the call of High Templar Garwain for aid in uncovering the mysteries that lie in wait? Do the heroes of the world have the mettle to answer Overlord Harts summons?

Dark Reign is a level 3 sanctioned CP event run by Giant Bat Productions and Mandala LRP . It is aimed to be the 1st of an ongoing campaign which will impact onto the game world as a whole and is not tied to one specific faction. As the event is level 3 there will be a full working ritual circle with sound and lighting, and plenty of oppourtunity for crafters and alchemists to play their trades. Bunks are available to the 1st 40 players and the event will be fully catered.

The event will be held on the weekend of the 9th to the 11th of April 2010 at Consall Scout Camp in Stafforshire and is priced at £40 a ticket if booked before 1st Jan 2010 rising to £45 thereafter.

If you are pencilled in for a place then your bunk is not secure, If more people come forward needing bunks and willing to pay upfront then they will get them. So get your money or deposits in :)
