Kingdoms of Albion

Albion is a nation of ten independant realms, collectively know as a decarchy.  The Albion Decarchy comprises of nine kingdoms - Anglia, Bernicia, Cornwall, Deira, Elmet, Essex, Oxford, Sussex and Wessex - and a single princedom - Principality of Norholt.  Each realm has its own traditions and customs and is ruled by a monarch who is free to set taxes, pass laws and raise armies to defend the realm.

Ruling over each monarch and the whole of Albion as a single nation is the High King.  While independant, each monarch is expected to honour the word of the High King, to provide taxes and to supply men-at-arms when the warhost marches to war.
